Christmas Toy Appeal

Christmas Toy Appeal

As a local charity our aim is to promote the social well-being of people within the epicentre of Ellesmere Port. We have organised a Toy Appeal for local families and children since 2013 and with the support from our local community and businesses we have helped hundreds of local children.

How can you help?

We believe every child deserves a new gift at Christmas so we are unable to take used or second hand items for the Christmas Toy Appeal.

  • 0-3 years: dolls, teddy bears, cot mobiles, baby clothes, bath toys, nursery rhymes books, puzzle, play mats, sensory gifts
  • 3-5: dolls and action figures, cars, lorries, colouring sets, pencils, crayons, books, puzzles, construction sets, Lego, dress up clothes, Play-Doh
  • 5-9: educational games and toys, stationery (colouring sets, pencils, crayons, school sets), books, puzzles, word-searches, crosswords, magic sand, dress-up clothes, telescopes, globes, skateboards.
  • 9-12: games and toys, stationery, books, T-shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats
  • 13-16: books, make-up and toiletries, gloves, scarves, hats, T-shirts, hair accessories

Chocolate and selection boxes are always welcome for any age.

Each year we have fallen short on toys/gifts for certain age groups, so any financial donations will be used to purchase these items.

**Please note we are unable to accept any toy weapons (guns, swords, knives) gift cards, electronic games, CDs, or DVDs.**

Our aim is to give all the children we help that special feeling only a child gets at Christmas!

Where to drop off your donations

Donated toys can be dropped off at Stanlaw Abbey Business Centre during the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday or at local businesses displaying the Toy Appeal poster.

If you do not have time to select a gift but would like to make a cash donation, which will be used to purchase toys for the appeal, please contact us on 0151-356-5896 or email

All toys donated to the Appeal will be wrapped and tagged appropriately for the child’s age and gender, collected by the Integrated Early Support Team and then distributed to the families in time for Christmas Day.

How Businesses Can Help

If you are a business owner, there are other ways you can help, either through engaging with your employees to help fundraise or by making a donation.
