Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust have made considerable donations including buildings, fencing, equipment and staffing costs. Bridge Wellness Gardens provide opportunities to individuals and groups within Ellesmere Port.

Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust have supported the work delivered by Passion for Learning. Among other things, the trust funded 2 enrichment clubs running in local primary schools, funded staffing costs and provided space for them to run their Covid response project from.
Period Poverty
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust have supported period poverty by providing local schools with sanitary products.
Food Deprivation
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust have supported food deprivation in the area by paying for weekly food subscriptions for families in need.
Stanlaw Abbey Christmas Toy Appeal
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust organise a Christmas Toy Appeal every year. In 2022 1,112 local children all received at least 4 gifts and a selection box.
Equipment for Schools
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust have provided the local schools with equipment that they don’t have the budget for. They have also been supported with body confidence workshops and art therapy sessions.
Covid Support
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust supported the businesses located in Stanlaw Abbey Business Centre with rent relief for 10 months during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Elderly Community
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided Echo Dots and projectors to a local care home. The care home were able to use the technology to enhance the residents wellbeing.
Westminster Families
Stanlaw Abbey support the summer program ran by community group Westminster Families. This included funding a trip for families to Gullivers World, providing meals for families attending summer events and providing the food to run a family cooking session.
Sports Equipment
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided equipment for a new football team. The equipment has enabled young people in the area to get involved in training sessions and playing in a local league.
Messy Mischief Makers
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided arts and craft materials to Missy Mischief Makers. Missy Mischief Makers provide low cost baby and toddler groups in Ellesmere Port.
The Port Grocery
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided The Port Grocery with tables. The tables provided have enabled The Port Grocery to expand their reduced price lunches which they offer to the community.
The Port Men in Sheds
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust supported Men in Sheds as they became an independent charity
The Ace Club
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trusts funding enabled the Ace club to celebrate the Queens jubilee and other special occasions
Martin Gallier Project
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust supported a local family raising money for the Martin Gallier Project. The project offers support to families in Ellesmere Port affected by suicide.
Local Scout groups
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust have supported 2 local Scout groups. One group received camping equipment which will be used by children of all ages. The other group required financial support to buy 2 new fire doors for the scout hut.
The Peoples Pantry
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust supported the free summer activities available to local families.
Pantomime Tickets
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust purchased 421 tickets to a local pantomime which were then distributed to the local community for free.
Air Cadets Ellesmere Port
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust funded simulator control technology to support the sessions available to young people of Ellesmere Port.
Wirral Boxing Club
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provded new equipment to be used in sessions held in Little Sutton
Heart of Wolverham Lucheon Club
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided funds to enable the luncheon club and bingo evenings to continue. The donation also covered replacing cutlery and crockery.
Labour Club Ellesmere Port
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided funding to support the continued running of OAP bingo and their session for adults with additional needs.
Cheshire Phoenix in the Community
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust funded new equipment for community led sessions. The Trust also funded all 21 Ellesmere Port schools to receive the Hoops for Health program delivered through Cheshire Phoenix in the Community.
Oasis Youth Club
Stanlaw Abbey Development Trust provided financial support to enable the Oasis Youth club to restart their youth club sessions.
